Because she could not speak clearly, family members and society’s people did not give any importance to her opinion. CRSS-Suraksha Project started operations in Satla, Harta and Jolla Unions of Wazirpur Upazila in November 2022 in collaboration with KIA, The Netherlands. Formed self-help groups with the poor living in high-risk areas. Nupur Mistry is a regular member of Hasnahena self-help group at Shibpur village at Satla union of Wazirpur Upazila. Nupur regularly attends the weekly meetings and participates in trainings from the team on women's empowerment, women's skill development, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. She received training on how to increase family income by participating in income generating activities. In the beginning, their family condition was not so good. Insufficiency is a daily companion of their family. Her husband runs a tea stall and a small poultry farm with high interest loans from various sources. Their tea stall completely shut down and all the chickens in the poultry farm died of disease. They became very vulnerable. Family members could not eat properly and their children's education was about to stop. Then Nupur told her husband about CRSS Microcredit and said that I got various kind of training from the organization. So can we start our business again? Then her husband encouraged her, ok, let's start the business again. Thinking about the family, Nupur took a first loan of BDT. 10,000 from the self-help group and reopened the tea shop. Now they earn BDT.400-500 daily from the tea stall and she regularly deposited savings and returned installments to the group. After that they started Poultry bird’s farm taking to the loan of BDT.20, 000 for the second time. After a Month and a half, they sold their poultry and raised more chickens in the farm with the profit. In this way, with the profit money from the farm, they made their shop bigger. Now she earns BDT.15, 000 -17,000 per month from their shop and poultry farm. Seeing his success, family members and neighbors started treating him well. As a result of the family's financial prosperity, her sons and daughters regularly attend in the school and are able to pay their tuition fees. They can feed the boys and girls well. Now there is no shortage in their family. Nupur’s acceptance towards the community people has increased and she is participating in various social activities. She is currently elected as the vice-president of the Hasnahena Self-help group. They have also grown a family nutritional vegetable garden, so that her family members can overcome nutritional deficiency. She wants to earn extra income by cultivating vegetables. Nupur share her success story with everyone and encourage others.
